Shri Uday Vishwanath Deshpande is a globally renowned Mallakhamb coach, promoter, and mentor, honored with the prestigious Padma Shri Award in 2024 for his outstanding contribution to Indian sports. A former Deputy Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise, he has dedicated over five decades to Mallakhamb, training thousands across India and 48 countries. He is the Founder Director and Hon. Secretary General of the Vishwa Mallakhamb Federation, instrumental in organizing the Mallakhamb World Championships and numerous international workshops. A total of 30 students, 10 each from VKZPV Port Mout, VKV Sri Vijaya Puram, and VKNPV Ranchi Tekri, participated in the session, accompanied by the three PETs of the respective schools.
