“Reverence and Reflection – Guru Purnima Celebration at
Vivekananda Kendra Nagar Palika Vidyalaya, Ranchi Tekri"
Guru Purnima, a day dedicated to expressing gratitude towards spiritual and academic teachers, was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Nagar Palika Vidyalaya, Ranchi Tekri on 10th July 2025 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. This auspicious occasion, which falls on the Purnima Tithi of Ashadha Month, was attended by 48 students, 20 parents, and 25 staff members.
The program began with a soulful prayer followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting by the chief guest Smt. Geeta (Retired Headmistress, GDMS, Sri Vijaya Puram), Adarneeya Vishwas Lapalkar Ji (Prant Sangathak, Paschim Bengal), Shri R. Venugopal (Education Officer, VKV Andamans), and the Headmistress Smt. Sangita Chander, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance through the light of knowledge.
The Headmistress welcomed the gathering and emphasized the role of gurus in shaping the lives of students. This was followed by a thought-provoking speech and a melodious bhajan on Guru. Students who excelled academically in the 2024–25 CBSE examinations were felicitated along with their proud parents. Trophies were presented by Vishwas Ji and Shri Venugopal Ji. Three students and three parents shared their personal experiences and appreciation for the vidyalaya.
Adarneeya Vishwas Ji delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the origin of Guru Purnima, its relevance in today’s world, and the five Utsavas of Vivekananda Kendra. The chief guest also encouraged Class X students to aim high in their board exams.
The celebration enhanced cultural pride, spiritual awareness, and strengthened the guru-shishya bond. The event concluded with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra and refreshments for the attendees, leaving everyone with a sense of joy and gratitude.
