CELEBRATION OF GURU PURNIMA

Gurur Devo Maheswaraha

Tasmai Sri Guruvae Namaha”

Guru Purnima was celebrated in VKNPV, Ranchi Tekri, Port Blair on 3^rd July, 2023. This festival is celebrated on Ashadhi Purnima which is Jayanti – the birth anniversary of Maharisi Veda Vyasa – a son of a Rishi Parashar and a fisherwoman Satyawati.

                

  In Vivekananda Kendra, we are doing the Ishawariya Karya of ‘Man-making and Nation Building.’ For this Ishwariya Karya, we have Ishwara as our Guru. Paying our obeisance to Guru on the day of Guru Purnima also means that like Veda Vyasa we shall work to protect our culture in changed times and also by our work shall devise a system which is self-propelled – a system that can sustain and drive itself toward the goal.

Shri. Ganesh anchored the programme, speech about the importance of the day of was given by Smti. Aprajita Tripathi. Guru shlokas were sung by teachers of the Vidyalaya. On this auspicious occasion Tushar Kirtania of Class VI B who won the 2^nd level Olympiad in Maths was felicitated with medal, and certificate. Thus the programme was ended with good note.
