 REPORT ON INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION - 2026


80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Vivekananda Kendra Nagar Palika Vidyalaya, Ranchi Tekri. The programme commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Captain Vijay Kumar Trivedi, Retired Indian Navy Veteran, accompanied by Mrs. Anupama Trivedi. 

  

Capt. Vijay Kumar Trivedi represents a distinguished combination of military schooling, professional excellence, command experience and continuing service to the veteran community. His journey- from being adjudged the Best Boy of his school, through 34 years of commissioned service and command in the Indian Navy, to his continuing engagement with ex-servicemen, is particularly relevant to young students on Independence Day, reflecting the enduring values of discipline, leadership, responsibility and service to the Nation.

 



The celebration began with Vande Mataram, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony and the National Anthem. Smt. Sangita Chander, Headmistress welcomed the Chief Guest, parents, students, alumni and dignitaries and inspired the students to become responsible citizens. The chief guest was honoured by presenting bouquet and shawl. Smt. Priya Singh, Teacher, highlighted the significance of the day.

 



The students presented patriotic songs, a patriotic dance, speeches, a freedom-fighter dress-up by Balvatika students, and an impressive pyramid formation. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and shared inspiring thoughts with the students one among the memorable experiences was the rescue of the Indian fishermen from the Sri Lankan part . A memento was presented to him by the Headmistress as a token of respect and gratitude.

 



 

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks. Around 454 students, 90 parents, 07 alumni and 32 staff members attended the celebration, making it a memorable occasion filled with patriotism and national pride.

Guru Purnima Celebration 2026

Guru Purnima was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Nagar Palika Vidyalaya Ranchi Tekri on 29 July 2026. The programme was graced by Shri GyanSheel Dubey, DEO, South Andaman, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, as the Chief Guest, and Shri Vijay Kumar Maurya, ITS, Deputy Director General, Department of Telecommunications, Andaman & Nicobar LSA, Sri Vijaya Puram, as the Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries present included Shri Vivekanand D Naik, Assistant Director DoT Andaman and Nicobar, Shri Vinod Kumar Singh, GTT GSSS School Line and Smt. Usha Kumari, Retired Teacher, VKNPV.

 

The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the chanting of the Eikya Mantra. Headmistress Smt. Sangita Chander welcomed the dignitaries, parents, teachers, and students. The students presented a Guru Vandana, paying tribute to their teachers. This was followed by a brief address by Shri Raju Sarkar, Teacher, highlighting the significance of Guru Purnima.

 


 

A felicitation ceremony was organised to honour the school toppers and subject-wise toppers of the CBSE Examination 2025–26 for their outstanding academic achievements.

Students and parents expressed their gratitude to the Headmistress and teachers for their guidance and support. In their addresses, the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour congratulated the students, teachers, and parents and encouraged the students to strive for excellence through dedication, discipline, and hard work.

 


 

The celebration beautifully reflected the spirit of Guru Purnima by honouring teachers and recognising the achievements of the students.
