Universal Brotherhood Day Celebration at VKNPV Ranchi Tekri



 

Vivekananda Kendra Nagar Palika Vidyalaya, Ranchi Tekri, celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day with great enthusiasm on 11th September 2025 at the Dairy Farm Community Hall.

         

 

  

The programme began with the presentation of bouquets and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. Shri C.H. Venkatesh, Principal of ITI Dollygunj, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and Smt. Jharna Roy, Former ANM Teacher from the Medical Department, Directorate of Health Services, was the Guest of Honour. She is initiated with and actively participates in the activities of the Ramakrishna Mission, further deepening her association with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

Following the welcome address by the Headmistress, the students performed a graceful welcome dance. A student presented the famous Chicago Address of Swami Vivekananda, inspiring the audience with his timeless message. The celebration featured a variety of cultural programmes including a skit, songs, and thoughts of Swami Vivekananda by Bal Vatika students. A vibrant folk dance of Ranchi captivated the audience, showcasing local tradition and talent.

 

  

                             

    

The much-awaited prize distribution ceremony recognized the winners of various competitions held for Raksha Bandhan, Ganesh Chaturthi, Krishna Janmashtami, Universal Brotherhood Day, and the Rangoli-making event for parents.

 

Both the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour delivered motivating speeches, emphasising character building and the importance of brotherhood in society. Mementos were presented to them as a token of appreciation. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the chanting of the Shanti Mantra, spreading an aura of peace.

                        

      

The event saw an impressive participation of 268 parents, 473 students, 24 alumni, and 30 staff members, making it a grand success. The celebration left a lasting impression, beautifully spreading the message of unity, peace, and Universal Brotherhood.
